NC New Schools seeks a STEM Field Coordinator for a two-year appointment. The STEM Field Coordinator will be hired to facilitate and manage the connections among key business partners, institutions of higher education and economically themed, STEM-focused schools across North Carolina. The coordinator will serve as the partnership liaison within the networks of Energy & Sustainability as well as Aerospace, Advanced Manufacturing & Security.

This individual will efficiently collect and process data and rapidly present findings to facilitate evidence-based decision making for client schools and districts. Reporting to the vice president of talent development, the data analyst will work closely with the Talent Development team to disseminate data and identify trends.

The Director for Career Academy Development is a joint position reporting to NC New Schools and the National Academy Foundation (NAF). Based at the NC New Schools office, the Director of Career Academy Development will function in close collaboration with other New Schools program directors and will serve as the primary contact for local teams designing and implementing plans for school innovation and conducting professional development for teachers and administrators.

The Northeast Regional School of Biotechnology and Agriscience is a new early college high school that is designed to serve as a statewide model for STEM education (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and is seeking qualified applicants in the fields of horticulture/science, mathematics and humanities education to join the teaching staff. Following the 2012-2013 enrollment of a ninth grade class, the school will continue adding a grade level each year. The Northeast Regional School serves students from five counties in Northeastern North Carolina (Washington, Pitt, Martin, Beaufort, and Tyrrell Counties) offering the opportunity for all students to earn up to two years of college credit along with their high school diploma. Applicants must have experience and interest in participating on a school team responsible for creating and executing new learning environments aimed at giving all students the opportunity to be successful.
